Assistants and copilots are useful stepping stones; the real shift is AI that runs on its own, inside the systems that matter.

Putting AI to real use today requires knowing too much about prompts, context, models, orchestration, evaluation. That is a barrier we think should go away. The mechanics should recede. What remains should be the outcome.

The common thread is reliability at scale, software that had to work in the field, under real conditions, in front of customers who depended on it. “Usually works” was never an acceptable answer.
